Go Down to Go Up, Especially When Jumping

Description

The movement principles of “do the opposite of what you see” and “go down to go up” as applied in jumping. Illustrated on the “jump“ of a tennis ball. It may look like it’s jumping up, but really what you do is pushing the ball down into the ground in order to create the height of it springing up into the air. It’s the same with a human jump: the higher you want to jump, the more you have to bend your knees and push down into the floor in order for your jump to be high.
